The Definition of Wellness

Health, as defined by the World Health Organization, is a condition of “complete physical, mental and emotional well-being”. Various definitions have been used over the years for various purposes. One common definition is that health is the condition of being fit and happy with one’s health. This definition is often used to help individuals determine their level of physical well being. When someone becomes unhealthy it can have a negative impact on their life, their relationships, their finances, their health, and many other areas.

A second definition is that good health is having a normal and adequate body weight, a clean blood stream, and an optimal intake of healthy foods. A third definition is the maintenance of a healthy and well balanced diet. A fourth definition defines good health as the absence of communicable diseases, illness, injury, and other serious or life threatening conditions. An additional definition is the ability to attain and maintain a good health.

Good health is desirable because it contributes to well-being. It can contribute to well-being by helping to prevent illnesses and injuries, and by providing a person with a sense of well-being. A healthy body allows a person to participate in physical activities and enjoy life. A healthy mind allows a person to think properly and rationally, and to experience happiness and success. Thus, having a healthy body and a healthy mind are very important aspects of good health.

There are many ways to achieve good health. Individuals must exercise regularly and consume a well-balanced diet, eat a healthy diet, be aware of their weight, monitor their body sugar levels, and avoid consuming large amounts of saturated fat and sodium. There are also several measures that can be taken to improve one’s overall health. These include maintaining a good weight, participating in physical exercise regularly, eating a healthy diet, getting regular medical care, avoiding illnesses that can lead to a shorter life, and watching one’s weight and blood pressure levels.

The definition “well-being” can also be expanded to include the absence of disease. A healthy body with no visible diseases does not necessarily mean that a person is healthy. Some diseases can make a person feel bad. They may feel sick, have increased levels of fatigue and cholesterol levels, and even become depressed. These feelings can lead to poor health behaviors, which can contribute to a person’s lack of good health. Illness can lead to a physical appearance that is unpleasant, and can cause a person to have lower self-esteem.

This definition of “well-being” includes all of these components. These are all necessary for a healthy lifestyle. Not only can absence of disease provide a person with physical health benefits, but these same health benefits can also provide mental health benefits. People who are physically healthy and free from mental illness are happier people, and are less likely to have conflicts within their relationships. Achieving this definition of “defined health” is a necessary step for long-term mental health and physical health.
